Simply put, slotted conversion is the process of converting your chair from using the slots in the frame, to a conventional rivet to hold the strap. There are two slotted conversion methods. If your chair has the slots on top, Chair Care Patio suggests the double wrap method. If your chair has slots on the inside of the frame, use the single wrap method.

If your chair has slots on top Chair Care Patio recommends drilling new holes into the bottom of the chair frame. To do this, drill through the top slot until you come out the bottom or simply use the top slots as reference for marking the new holes. Once the holes are drilled into the underside of the frame, the chair is ready for double wrap. |
| Single Wrap Method: |

|
If your chair has slots on the inside of the chair frame, we recommend drilling a hole in the center of the slot which allows a rivet to be used for a single wrap application. Use a 7/32” drill bit to drill a hole into the center of every slot. When drilling, be sure to drill the slots at an angle to prevent the drill bit from jamming. Once all the slots are drilled, refer to the instructions for single wrap. | Contact Us For more in depth instructions about how to install singe wrap and double wrap vinyl strap see the how-to instructions for those processes.
