BEFORE YOU MEASURE make sure you know which section of your patio cushion is the back and which is the bottom or seat section. Patio furniture that uses boxed style patio furniture cushions will usually have 2 cushions on the chair or chaise lounge frame. A seat cushion and a back cushion. We can make a custom outdoor cushion for your outdoor furniture with a few simple measurements. You will need to have the following measure in hand before you place you order. Also make sure you know which part of the cushion is the width and what is the length. The width is the maximum size that will fit between the arms of the chair frame.

• Width of patio cushion
• Overall Length of Patio cushion
• Depth of patio cushion seat from front to hinge
• Height of patio cushion back from top to hinge.
• Thickness of patio cushion
  

Lay your old patio cushions out flat on the floor or flat surface. Using a measuring tape or sewing style tape measure, measure the width of your patio cushion seat from edge to edge. You do not want to measure the sides of the boxed style cushion. Just to the edge or seam.

Measure the depth of the boxed style patio furniture seat cushion. Start at the front of the patio cushion and measure to the back from seam to seam. Do not measure the sides of the boxed cushion. Just from edge to edge.

Measure the thickness of your patio chair or chaise boxed style cushion. This measurement only applies to custom made patio cushions by Chair Care Patio. The boxed style replacement cushions we offer on the web site already have a predermined thickness. If you require custom made cushions other than what we offer on the web site, please contact us.

If the back cushion is also a boxed style, then repeat the steps to measure the width of your cushion. The picture shows measuring the cushion on the chair frame. You can measure on the frame or by laying the cushion on a flat surface.
